Third Nordic Ukrainian Film Festival will Take Place in Stockholm
On 23-26 November 2017, Third Nordic Ukrainian Film Festival will take place in Stockholm (“Saga Bio”, Kungsgatan 24). It is organized by Ukrainian Institute of Sweden.
Such modern Ukrainian films will be brought to Stockholm: “My Grandmother Fanny Kaplan” (2016) by Olena Demyanenko, “Another’s Prayer” (2017) by Ahtem Seytablayev, “Chervonyi (Red)” (2017) by Zaza Buadze, and “Frost” (2017) by Sarunas Bartas.
Hosting of the Third Nordic Ukrainian Film Festival during the celebration of the Day of Dignity and Freedom on 21 November – a day when historic events for Ukraine and Ukrainians took place (the Orange Revolution in 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity in 2013) – contributes to strengthening of historic memory of the Ukrainian nation, Ukraine’s democratic today and its European development, strong commitment to the ideals of freedom and liberty.
