Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria Valerii Aleksandruk opened an exhibition dedicated to commemorating Holodomor victims
On November 9, 2017 an opening ceremony of the exhibition "Execution by Hunger: The Unknown Genocide of Ukrainians" dedicated to commemorating the Holodomor in Ukraine 1932-1933 was held in the Cultural Center of Abuja.
In his speech the Ambassador informed the audience about causes and consequences of the Holodomor in Ukraine 1932-1933, emphasized the importance of international recognition of the Holodomor as an act of genocide of the Stalinist totalitarian regime against the Ukrainian people and urged the Nigerian side to recognize this tragedy as genocide of Ukrainians.
The representatives of the diplomatic corps, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Administration of the President of Nigeria, business circles, as well as Ukrainian community attended the event.
