Noting the normalization of the situation near the American diplomatic mission in Baghdad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly condemns the attempted attack on the US Embassy in the Republic of Iraq on 31 December, 2019.
In accordance with the principles of inviolability of the premises of diplomatic missions and their protection by a host state, we call upon the Government of the Republic of Iraq to take all necessary actions in order to hold the perpetrators accountable and provide  the appropriate level of security of foreign diplomatic missions in Baghdad.
