Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystayko received copies of credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay to Ukraine (with residence in Warsaw) Pablo Ernesto Scheiner Correa.

Vadym Prystayko congratulated Pablo Ernesto Scheiner Correa on the beginning of his Diplomatic Mission in Ukraine and thanked the Uruguayan Government for supporting Ukraine in the election of non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for the period 2016-2017. The intensification of political contacts between Ukraine and Uruguay, the development of trade and economic cooperation as well as fostering elaboration of the legal framework of Ukrainian-Uruguayan relations were also discussed during the meeting.

In connection with the election of Ukraine and Uruguay to the UN Security Council, the sides agreed on active cooperation between the two countries’ delegations in the framework of the UN leading body.
