The Forum will bring together representation of the government and the parliament civil society activists and foreign experts to discuss the strategy of the development of Ukraine’s institutional capacity in the area of cultural and public diplomacy.
The Kennan Institute Kyiv Office and international civic organization “Global Ukraine” will present the results of their independent audit of Ukraine’s cultural diplomacy in 2014-2016 and discuss the synergy of efforts undertaken by the state and non-state actors to promote Ukraine’s culture abroad. The Forum will also identify cultural diplomacy projects and institutional players who serve as the driving force for promoting Ukraine’s international brand by cultural instruments.
The participants of the Forum will work recommendations to the government, nonprofit sector and other actors on improving Ukraine’s image abroad, upgrading effectiveness and strategic planning of Ukraine’s cultural and public diplomacy.
