Minister for Foreign Affairs Leonid Kozhara receives Italian Ambassador to Ukraine Fabrizio Romano

A wide scope of bilateral issues was discussed during the meeting. Minister Leonid Kozhara and Ambassador Fabrizio Romano agreed on the need to intensify political dialogue between Ukraine and Italy, in particular, at the level of Foreign Ministers.
The Sides underlined the importance of further deepening of trade and economic cooperation. In this regard, they emphasized the importance of the 8th Meeting of the Ukrainian-Italian Council on Trade, Industrial and Financial Cooperation, which is due to take place in Kyiv in the nearest future, as well as Business Forum to be held in Ukraine.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of European integration of Ukraine in the context of signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and further liberalization of visa regime for Ukrainian citizens.
Ambassador Romano has informed about the steps undertaken by the Italian side aimed at simplification of visa procedures for Ukrainians.
