The meeting was focused on discussion of current issues of Ukraine-EU cooperation.

Representatives of EU Member States were informed about the results of main events of Ukraine-EU dialogue which took place last week: 18th round of negotiations on the Association Agreement, 16th round of negotiations on establishment of Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, meeting of Senior Officials in the framework of visa free dialogue.

Remarking the progress made in Ukraine-EU cooperation, the sides confirmed that finalization of negotiations on the Association Agreement was a key priority for this year.

In this context it was stressed that the main attention in the coming months should be paid to finding mutually accepted compromises in negotiations on the Free Trade Area which will be an integral part of the future Agreement.

P.Klimkin emphasized that the Ukrainian Side concentrated all possible efforts in order to ensure proper implementation of the Action Plan on Visa Liberalisation. Representatives of EU Member States were informed about main results achieved by Ukrainian authorities in this sphere.
