Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara held telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu

The Ministers discussed the schedule of bilateral political events for 2013. The attention was focused on the preparation of the next Meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish High Level Strategic Council.
As regards further development of Ukraine-Turkey strategic relations, the importance of the official visit of the Head of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Çiçek to Ukraine, expected on 4-6 April 2013, was emphasized.
The Head of the Turkish MFA confirmed his invitation to Minister Kozhara to pay an official visit to Ankara with the aim to hold the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish Strategic Planning Group.
The ministers also exchanged views on further strengthening of regional contacts between Ukraine and Turkey in the context of the Ukrainian government’s efforts aimed at settling existing problems of the Crimean Tatars in Ukraine.
