At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin held a joint briefing with the Regional Representative of UNHCR in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Oldrych Andrysek

On March 31, 2011 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin held a joint briefing with the Regional Representative of UNHCR in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Oldrych Andrysek.

The main purpose was to enhance coordination between the central authorities of Ukraine and the Regional UNHCR Office in handling issues related to protection of the rights of refugees, asylum seekers and stateless persons.

Participants discussed the situation with the protection of rights of refugees, asylum seekers and stateless persons in Ukraine, and outlined a range of issues to be further elaborated.

The representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, the State Committee on Nationalities and Representatives of the Danish Council for Refugees took part in the meeting.
