Special Representative of Ukraine for Middle East and Africa Hennadii Latii meets Ambassador of Kuwait to Ukraine Yousef Al Ghabandi

At the beginning of the meeting the Kuwaiti diplomat handed over letters of appreciation from H.H. Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Sabah to the President of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Viktor Yanukovych and from the Prime Minister of Kuwait H.H. Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah to the Ukrainian Premier-minister H.E. Mr.Mykola Azarov for their greetings on the occasion of the Independence Day of the State of Kuwait.
The parties discussed the current state of Ukrainian-Kuwaiti relations and viewed the prospects of intensification of the international contacts at both high and highest levels.
Special attention was paid to measures being taken by the parties in the context of preparation for holding the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation planned for this year in the State of Kuwait.
The parties also discussed the preparations for a series of joint cultural events to be held in Ukraine on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Kuwait, which is marked this year.
