Within the round table, a discussion was held between the representatives of the concerned authorities of Ukraine, companies and right-holders, the American Chamber of Commerce, the American-Ukrainian Business Council and the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.

The participants discussed a wide range of issues concerning the protection of the intellectual property rights in Ukraine. All the attendees of the event noted the progress made in this field. It was emphasized that the core of modern economy is innovation, and the implementation of innovative ideas is not possible without an effective system for IPR protection in place. Special attention was paid to the need for a public awareness campaign on the issue in question.
