Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Andrii Olefirov took part in the VI Europe – Ukraine Forum held in Budapest on May 12-14, 2013.
In his speech at the Forum Deputy Minister confirmed the European integration course of Ukraine and informed about the steps taken by the leadership of Ukraine in order to ensure the conclusion of the Ukraine – EU Association Agreement, including deep and comprehensive free trade area, at the Eastern Partnership Summit in November 2013 in Vilnius.
Within the framework of the Forum Mr. Andrii Olefirov met with the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Hungary Mr. Zsolt Nemeth. During the meeting the sides discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation as well of the Ukraine – EU agenda. The Hungarian side confirmed its willingness to further provide comprehensive practical support to the implementation of the European aspirations of Ukraine, including the conclusion of the Ukraine – EU Association Agreement.
Deputy Minister also exchanged views on key issues of Ukrainian-Serbian and Ukrainian-Slovak relations as well as of the European integration with the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration of Serbia Ms. Suzana Grubjesic and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Mr. Peter Burian.
