The practical steps to deepen trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Sweden were discussed during the meeting. The parties agreed to provide support to organization of seminars and events with the aim to promote the Ukrainian-Swedish business contacts.
The special attention was paid to the future Free Trade Area between Ukraine and the EU. In this context Victor Mayko underlined that signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in November this year is a priority for Ukraine.
The parties discussed also the cooperation in the framework of the Swedish technical assistance, i.a. implementation of projects in the Ukrainian cities within the Eastern European Energy Efficiency and Environmental Partnership (E5P), initiated by Sweden.
