During his working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara met with Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Guido Westerwelle.
At the meeting the sides paid main attention to further rapprochement of Ukraine with the European Union as well as prospects for concluding the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in November 2013. The Ministers also exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral and global agenda. Guido Westerwelle stressed the strategic interest of Germany in signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU as an important step in the rapprochement between Ukraine and the European Union, and noted the progress of our country in the implementation of the necessary reforms. In this regard, the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed the readiness of Germany to support Ukraine on this way.
Minister Kozhara also gave a speech concerning the European integration of Ukraine and its OSCE chairmanship at the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin.
