The session was focused on the expansion of Ukraine’s grain export.
The event was attended by CEO of leading Ukrainian companies - exporters of agricultural products, representatives of major Ukrainian business associations and concerned central government authorities.
In his speech Deputy Minister, Deputy head of the Council of exporters and investors Victor Mayko outlined the actions of the Ministry aimed at direct support of Ukrainian grain exporters in entering new markets, resolving issues with contactor-firms and providing them with necessary information about the opportunities of expanding their share on the foreign markets.
Special attention was paid to the adaptation of domestic grain exporters to the EU market conditions in the context of the forthcoming signing by of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU during the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius this November.
During the meeting there were also discussed the specific mechanisms of political and diplomatic support provided by the Ministry in increasing the Ukrainian grain supply not only to traditional but also to new promising markets, including those of China, Iran, Iraq, Vietnam, Japan and a number of other countries of Asia and Africa.
