Hennadii Latii congratulated Ambassador Christiaan Albertus Basson on the appointment to the important position and wished him every success in his diplomatic activities.

During the meeting the current state and prospects of development of cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of South Africa in spheres of mutual interest were discussed.

The interlocutors emphasized interest in developing bilateral high-level political contacts, deepening cooperation in trade and economic and scientific fields as well as expanding legal base of bilateral relations and strengthening collaboration within the international organizations.
