Leonid Kozhara informed the Secretary-General about the latest efforts of President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych to stabilize the situation in Ukraine.

Ban Ki-moon highly evaluated the actions of the President for the resolution of the political crisis.

Ban Ki-moon underlined the importance of the preservation of the positive dynamic in the stabilization of the situation, stressing the key role of the Ukrainian government.

The parties also discussed the results of the recent visit to Ukraine of the United Nations Special Coordinator Robert Serry.
