The Minister briefed his counterpart on measures taken by the President and the Government of Ukraine to resolve peacefully the current political crisis and emphasized also the importance of implementation by the opposition of all agreements reached in the course of adopting the so-called law on amnesty.

He also pointed out rising manifestations of extremism in the course of protests in Ukraine and stressed that the opposition should publicly announce its clear position regarding actions of extremist elements and distance itself from such actions.

The sides agreed to continue holding regular exchanges of views on issues of mutual interest
