Ukraine considers the entry into force of the new Treaty between the United States of America and the Russian Federation on Measures for Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms to be an important step towards implementation of Article VI of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, which will contribute to further strengthening of the global stability and security.

We encourage both the U.S. and the Russian Federation to properly implement this agreement and to continue negotiations with the aim of further reducing their nuclear arsenals.
