The Ukrainian side confirmed the priority of development of cooperation with China and strengthening Ukrainian-Chinese strategic partnership. A letter of Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Deshchytsia to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi outlining this position was handed to the Chinese diplomat.

During the meeting special attention was given to the international efforts aimed at peaceful settlement of the situation in the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea. The Ambassador of China confirmed that the Chinese position on support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity remains unchanged.
