Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko paid particular attention to economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia

Minister Gryshchenko held a number of meetings with the ministers responsible for economic issues in the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Minister of Transport and the Co-chairman of Ukrainian-Saudi Interstate Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific Cooperation Jabara bin Eid Suraiseri, Minister of Agriculture Fahad Abdulrahman Balgunaim, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.

The parties noted the latest years positive tendencies towards increasing of trade volumes between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia. It was stressed that there were all the prerequisites for the substantial intensification and diversification of the structure of bilateral trade.

Minister Gryshchenko informed about the improvement of the investment climate in Ukraine and underlined the interest to further intensification of investment cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting with the Minister of Agriculture the Saudi side expressed the interest in development of cooperation in the field of agriculture. It was noted that Ukraine was considered as one of the world leading states in this field. Minister Gryshchenko, on his part, underlined that the recent exchange of visits by Ministers of Agriculture gave positive impetus for agricultural cooperation between both states.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister also held a fruitful meeting with the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Prince Mansour Al Saud.
