Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine visited the Headquarters of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

During the official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko visited the Headquarters of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine. Minister Gryshchenko held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Organisation Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani. In the course of negotiation the possibilities of establishing cooperation between Ukraine and the Gulf Cooperation Council have been discussed.

The parties shared their views on a wide range of international and regional issues. The Secretary General of the CCASG informed his counterpart on the integration processes, which were underway within the Organisation, as well as on the main results of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s latest Summit, which took place on 19-20 December 2011 in Saudi Arabia.
