During the meeting, the main attention was paid to practical aspects of deploying OHCHR short-term human rights monitoring mission to the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine, especially Autonomous Republic of Crimea, in connection with intrusion of the Russian Federation to Crimea.

Ivan Šimonović also shared his impressions of his visit to Ukraine, during which he visited Kharkiv and Lviv. Both sides expressed their regret that the self-proclaimed authorities of Crimea denied access of the UN human rights team to the territory of ARC.
