On March 26 Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Deshchytsia held talks with Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Radosław Sikorski who is on a working visit in Kyiv.
The parties discussed the political and security situation in Ukraine, and prospects for further development of bilateral relations. Sikorski welcomed steps of the new Ukrainian government and expressed willingness to transfer Polish experience, particularly in the fight against corruption, reforming local government etc.
Ministers agreed to continue working on introduction of visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU.
The Ukrainian side thanked for Poland’s support for territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine as well as for an active position of Warsaw on this issue in the framework of international organizations.
The Polish side welcomed the launch of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.
