During the meeting sincere gratitude was expressed to Nigerian Side for the support of Ukraine's position during the voting of the draft resolution on the so-called "referendum" in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea at the UN Security Council on March 15, 2014.

MFA’s leadership also expressed hope for further backing by Nigerian delegation during consideration of the situation in Ukraine at the United Nations General Assembly.

In his turn, African diplomat reiterated Nigeria’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The Sides also discussed interaction within other international organizations and a range of issues of bilateral cooperation.
