The two parties discussed the latest developments in our country, specifically in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as in southern and eastern regions of Ukraine. Andrii Deshchytsia expressed gratitude to his Slovak colleague for the steady support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity both on the bilateral level and within the frameworks of international organisations.
They paid particular attention to the Slovakian experience of transformation and preparation for the EU membership. In this regard Miroslav Lajčák reiterated his country’s readiness to provide expertise in terms of implementing reforms.
Ministers also exchanged their opinions on cooperation in the energy area, reverse gas supplies to Ukraine in particular.
