On 1 December, 2011 the Ukrainian-Georgian political consultations under the co-chairmanship of Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mr. Victor Mayko and First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia Mr. Nikoloz Vashakidze were held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

Wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as issues of the multilateral co-operation in the framework of internationals organizations and regional initiatives were discussed in the course of the consultations.

In particular, the parties summed up results of bilateral relations in 2011, underlining the high intensity of the Ukrainian-Georgian contacts at all levels, as well as invigorate of work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

The parties agreed to hold such consultations on regular basis.
