On April 28, 2014, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Olefirov met with delegation of the political group "Progressive Alliance of socialists and democrats" of the European Parliament led by the leader of the faction Hannes Svoboda.

The meeting focused the political situation in Ukraine and ways of its de-escalation.

A.Olefirov informed the members of the European Parliament about the latest developments and measures to stabilize the situation in Ukraine, including the steps taken by our Government in order to implement the Geneva agreements of 17 April.

The parties also discussed the prospects of EU-Ukraine relations, first of all the signing of the Association Agreement.
