The event took place in the framework of the working visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radosław Sikorski to Ukraine.

At the meeting the sides discussed issues of Ukrainian-Polish political dialogue, EU-Ukraine relations, the prospects for cooperation in security and defence sphere, cultural issues, as well as cooperation within international organizations.

Particular attention has been drawn to improvement and effectiveness of bilateral cooperation mechanisms as well as to organization of visits at the high and the highest level.

The discussion was focused on the settlement of political situation in Ukraine caused by the annexation of Autonomous Republic of Crimea by Russia and Russia’s support to separatist movements and terrorist organizations in the East and the South-East of Ukraine.

During the Ministerial the heads of Foreign Ministries signed the Plan of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland for 2014-2015.
