He noted the impartial activities of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission on Human Rights, which has been working in Ukraine since March 15, 2014. Acting Foreign Minister has positively estimated the second UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Report on the situation in Ukraine released today, stressing its balanced and objective nature.
Andrii Deshchytsia drew attention of the interlocutor to the need of maintaining on the agenda of the UN human rights mechanisms the situation in Crimea, where the Russian occupation has caused mass and grave human rights violations, in particular of the rights of the Crimean Tatars.
