On May 23, 2014 Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Norway and Estonia met with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Deshchytsya in the framework of their joint visit to Ukraine.
During the meeting the special attention was paid to the internal developments in Ukraine. Andrii Deschytsya informed about priorities defined by the Ukrainian Government and reforms aimed at stabilizing of the situation on the East of Ukraine and preparations for presidential elections in Ukraine, at the course of European integration.
The foreign ministers of the three countries repeatedly stressed that theystrongly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and do not recognize the illegitimate accession of the Crimea to Russia. The ministers of the three countries announced their government's intention to increase the financial assistance for the implementation of reforms in Ukraine, and specifically for projects in the field of energy efficiency.
Andrii Deschytsya thanked for the assistance provided to Ukraine for implementation of reforms and for the activities of the OSCE monitoring mission.
After the meeting the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Denmark, Estonia and Norway held a joint press-conference for Ukrainian and foreign media.
