In the context of signing of the Association Agreements between the EU and Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, on 1 July Ukraine and Georgia held consultations on the European integration at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers. The Ukrainian delegation was headed by First Deputy Foreign Minister Nataliia Galibarenko. Georgia Deputy Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili chaired the Georgian delegation.
The two sides discussed practical issues of the Association Agreements’ implementation, particularly referring to the Free Trade Area, the process of visa liberalization with the EU, cooperation with the EU in the sphere of Common Security and Defence Policy, as well as in the energy sphere.
The two parties have agreed to launch regular mechanism of experience exchange in the sphere of European integration among the frontrunners of the Eastern Partnership initiative.
