John Kerry welcomed the practical steps taken by Kyiv, aimed at rebuilding the vital infrastructure systems of cities that have been freed from terrorists. He also informed about the allocation of $7 mln as a financial aid for these purposes.

While discussing the role of Russia in the events in Eastern Ukraine John Kerry mentioned that despite «the Russians have said that they want to de-escalate the conflict, their actions have not shown a shred of evidence that they really have a legitimate desire to end the violence and end the bloodshed».

A special attention has been paid to the issue of the Malaysia Airlines` plane hit by the pro-Russian terrorists. Pavlo Klimkin shared information about steps taken by Ukraine to ensure the investigation of this tragedy. The sides have agreed on the importance of open and comprehensive investigation of the catastrophe.

In the course of the meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the US Secretary of State agreed to maintain the active dialogue about the broad set of issues of bilateral relations.

Pavlo Klimkin invited his American colleague to pay a visit to Ukraine at the most convenient time for him to co-Chair a session of the US-Ukraine Strategic Partnership Commission.
