July 29th, the White House, Washington D.C., while on a working trip to the United States the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin had a meeting with the Advisor to U.S. President for National Security Affairs Susan Rice.
The Head of the Ukrainian foreign ministry shared detailed information with his counterpart about President Poroshenko’s plan for peaceful settlement of the situation in Eastern Ukraine.
P.Klimkin and S.Rice stressed on the importance of the thorough investigation of the Malaysian Airlines MH17 Flight crash. The aircraft was shot down on July 17 this year over the territory controlled by terrorists in the Eastern part of Ukraine. Both officials stressed the need for international forensic experts’ assistance.
The counterparts agreed on the necessity of further strengthening of the US-Ukrainian cooperation in key areas and maintaining an active dialogue on a number of topical issues on the bilateral agenda.
