During the meeting, the delegation of the European Parliament was informed about the political situation in Ukraine, including the creation of pro-European coalition following the results of early parliamentary elections and the formation of the new Government of Ukraine.

Special attention was paid to the situation in eastern Ukraine, the implementation of Minsk agreements and OSCE mission activity.

Gianni Pittella emphasized the need for immediate implementation of reforms aimed at improving the economic situation in Ukraine, decentralization of power and efficient fight against corruption. 

The delegation of the European Parliament also expressed its support for Ukraine in the issue of the visa-free dialogue with the EU.
