First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nataliia Galibarenko received copies of credentials from newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Ukraine (non-resident) Shpresa Kureta.

The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude for the Albania’s support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country, in particular for voting in support of pro-Ukrainian resolution that has been recently adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

As it was noted, the strong support of Ukraine by Albanian side serves to strengthening of the foundations of bilateral political and sectoral cooperation.  The importance of intensification of trade and economic cooperation as well as the need to develop bilateral legal framework was stressed. It was also agreed to speed up the process of preparation for signing of bilateral agreements, that are currently under consideration. 

In this context the sides also discussed this year schedule of bilateral contacts, particularly at the level of Мinisters of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Albania.
