On May 17, 2010 Deputy Foreign Minister Olexander Horin received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Ukraine Jadd Al-Hazal.

During the meeting the Sides underlined the necessity to coordinate efforts with the aim to expedite the Ukrainian-Saudi cooperation, particularly the political dialogue at high level.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of development and deepening of cooperation trade and economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, which is top be facilitated by the enlargement of bilateral legal basis. In this context it was agreed to speed up the preparation of a number of bilateral draft agreements, covering among others the spheres of education, exploration of space for peaceful purposes, merchant shipping and others.
