Nataliia Galibarenko expressed gratitude to the Romanian side for the political and financial support of Ukraine as well as medical treatment of the Ukrainian citizens who suffered from military operations in the East of our country.
The sides emphasized fruitful outcomes of the recent visits of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin to Romania and President of Romania Klaus Iohannis to Ukraine which demonstrated mutual willingness of Kyiv and Bucharest to develop interstate relations in the spirit of friendship and partnership.
The issue of renewal of the Joint Ukrainian-Romanian Intergovernmental Commission for national minorities rights protection was also discussed. Counterparts stressed the importance of ensuring national minorities’ rights and freedoms according to the European standards.
Also the parties exchanged views on the prospects of European integration of Ukraine, in particular with regard to the Riga Eastern Partnership Summit expectations.
