In the framework of the visit Minister Klimkin will have meetings with the Secretary of State of the Holy See (Head of Government) Pietro Parolin and with the Secretary for Relations with States (Minister for foreign affairs) Paul Gallagher. During his stay the Minister will participate in audience with Pope Francis.

Humanitarian situation in Ukraine and the process of peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbas will be the key issues for discussion between the parties.

In addition, Minister Klimkin will have a meeting with the leadership of the “Saint Sophia” Association as well as with Ukrainian community representatives and will give interviews to the media.
