On July 10, 2015 a meeting of the bilateral Ukraine-U.S. Non-proliferation and Export Control Working Group (NPWG) was held in Washington, DC.
On July 10, 2015 a meeting of the bilateral Ukraine-U.S. Non-proliferation and Export Control Working Group (NPWG) was held in Washington, DC.
The delegations were headed by Director-General of International Security Directorate of the MFA of Ukraine, Mr. Serhii Shutenko and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and Nonproliferation,
Mr. Vann H. Van Diepen.
During the meeting the sides discussed wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of prevention of spread of WMD and their means of delivery, implementation of a number of priority projects aimed at strengthening security sector of Ukraine under Russia’s military aggression, interaction within international organizations including IAEA, as well as multilateral export control regimes.
The discussions held confirmed the joint approaches towards the issues of the NPWG agenda.
