Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Makei reaffirmed his country’s support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during his meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin while on a visit to Ukraine.

Pavlo Klimkin informed his Belarusian colleague about the current situation in the East of Ukraine and practical measures taken by the Ukrainian authorities to settle the situation.

Vladimir Makei supported Ukraine`s efforts to achieve peace in Donbas in line with the Minsk agreements. “Strict adherence to the Minsk agreements is the best way to safeguard peaceful settlement of the situation”, underlined Belarusian Minister.

The Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Belarus also discussed main practical issues of bilateral cooperation within international organizations, as well as priorities in trade and economic cooperation.
