Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystayko accepted copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine Juris Poikans.
In the course of the meeting Ambassador of Latvia said, “Latvia remains a reliable friend of Ukraine and is ready to render feasible assistance and support both in countering challenges, caused by the Russian aggression and in implementation of the systemic reforms”.
Juris Poikans stressed high interest of the Latvian business to the activity at the Ukrainian market. In this regard the parties noted that introduction of the Free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU will create new perspectives for further deepening of the trade and economic ties both at the bilateral level and in the relations between Ukrainian and European businessmen.
