On September 10, 2010 Deputy Minister Victor Mayko met with Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Jean Faltz.

In the course of the meeting the Sides discussed further intensification of bilateral political dialogue, in particular the future visit of the Luxembourg Prime Minister J.-K.Juncker to Ukraine as well as other issues of mutual interest.

The Sides agreed on the advisability of holding consultations at the level of Political directors of Foreign Ministries of Benelux countries and Ukraine in the second half of October 2010 as well as launching regular consultations at the said level.

Special attention during the meeting was paid to political and economic situation in Ukraine. The Luxembourg Side highly appreciated steps taken by the Ukrainian Government and aimed at establishing favourable investment conditions, in particular the Government’s decision on reimbursement of the VAT amounts to foreign enterprises working in Ukraine.
