The sides discussed the ways to strengthen cooperation and better coordination to ensure equal rights of women and men at the intergovernmental and inter-parliamentary level. In particular, they agreed on relevant approaches in framework of the Gender Equality Commission and the PACE’s Committee on Equality as the Chairpersons of these Council of Europe’s bodies.
The special attention was paid to the PACE’s documents on the armed conflicts, including women affected by these conflicts, as well as to possible renewal of the Assembly’s attention to this harmful trend taking into account current situation in Europe and in the world.
