Ukraine and the United Kingdom have agreed to intensify bilateral cooperation on the national security issues. Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has informed about it after his meeting with National Security Advisor to Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Sir Mark Lyall Grant on February 10, 2016 in London.
“I welcome the readiness of the British side to line up with the international initiatives aimed at enhancing pressure on Russia so that it delivers on its commitments in accordance with the Minsk Agreements as well as at de-occupation of the Crimea peninsula”, - the Minister said.
At the meeting with Sir Mark Lyall Grant Ukraine’s Foreign Minister also stressed on the importance to further maintain sanctions against Russia until the territorial integrity of Ukraine is restored.
Pavlo Klimkin expressed gratitude for the UK’s help in safeguarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine as well as the support of the democratic reforms in our country.
