Ukraine and Lithuania to deepen bilateral interaction

On February 11, 2016 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for the European integration Olena Zerkal held a meeting with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Andrius Krivas who is visiting Ukraine.

During the meeting the sides discussed practical cooperation of the two countries regarding implementation of the European integration course of Ukraine, as well as the situation in the East of Ukraine and implementation of the Minsk agreements. Andrius Krivas confirmed unconditional support by Lithuania of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, assured of the readiness of the Lithuanian side to exert further efforts to stop the Russian aggression and resolve the situation in the East of Ukraine.

Special attention was paid to the topic of effective implementation of the free trade regime between Ukraine and the EU, introduced since January 1, 2016, as well as to the practical issues of introduction of the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU.
