During the meeting, which took place on March 10, its participants discussed current human rights situation in some parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and illegally occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which has deteriorated significantly as a result of Russian military aggression.
The parties touched on a wide range of issues related to cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the framework of international organizations, in particular the United Nations, UNESCO and OSCE.
Also discussed was cooperation on successful implementation of the National Human Rights Strategy for the period until 2020 aimed at improving legal and institutional framework of Ukraine’s national policy in this field.
