On July 27, 2010 in Kyiv H.E. Mr. Oleksander Horin, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine held political consultations with H.E. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic.

During the consultations both Sides discussed the key issues of the Ukrainian – Vietnamese relations, with the emphasis on the prospects of activization of bilateral high-level political contacts. They shared the views on further deepening bilateral trade, economic, educational, scientific and technological cooperation. They also discussed the role of the Vietnamese community in Ukraine as an effective bridge for bilateral collaboration.

Counterparts exchanged views on important issues of international relations.

Consultations were held in constructive and open atmosphere, characteristic of friendly relations historically existing between Ukraine and Vietnam.
