On July 20, 2010 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko received Charge d’Affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic to Ukraine on his request.

During the meeting wide range of issues of Ukrainian-Syrian relations and the prospects of intensification of the cooperation in political, trade and economic, humanitarian spheres were discussed.

The Sides considered the preparation for the Seventh meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Syrian Committee on trade, economic and technical cooperation, and also for the political consultations at the level of the Deputy Foreign Ministers.

The Sides agreed to coordinate efforts in order to provide the high-level preparation of the Days of Ukrainian culture in Syrian which are planned for the end of November this year.
