"Austria supports visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens" - stated Michael Linhart, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for European Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria during a meeting with Mr. Vadym Prystaiko, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on May 26^th, 2016.

The parties discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation, in particular, in the economic sphere and possibilities of bilateral cooperation at the level of anti-corruption agencies of both countries in the context of Austrian assistance to Ukrainian reforms. They exchanged views on the political situation in Austria and Ukraine.

Taking into account the Austrian Chairmanship in OSCE in 2017 special attention was given to the role of this international organization in the implementation of the Minsk agreements. The Austrian side assured that during its Chairmanship it would focus on Ukraine. In this regard, the sides agreed to enhance cooperation in elaborating priorities of the Austrian Chairmanship.
